Drivers who use State Route 73 should plan for lane closures and possible delays as pavement preservation work is scheduled from Tuesday (11/27) through Friday, Dec. 7.
The work is slated to occur Mondays through Thursdays, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. along a 9-mile stretch of SR 73. During this time, traffic restrictions will be in place from Hon-dah south to Post Office Canyon on the White Mountain Apache Reservation.
North- and southbound SR 73 will be reduced to one lane of alternating travel while the maintenance work is done in 1- to 2-mile segments at a time. This will enable crews to reopen sections of SR 73 as they complete the work and move on to other parts of the roadway.
A pilot car and flaggers will be used to direct traffic through the work zone.
